Discarded Romance by Mike Stilkey
Art Installation (Grand Book Tower) at the Fully Booked Bookstore in Manila, Philippines
Another set of iPad drawings from my friend’s dad…. It’s just not fair!
he uses paper 53 app and a “pen” to draw these.
Amazing!
It’s topiary-a-go-go around here today!
What else is so simultaneously fabulous and sinister? Ummm, I can’t think of anything else. Maybe that’s why topiaries are featured in books from Edward Gorey works to Grandpa Green. Hedge mazes are also amazing (The Shining!), but that’s a post for another time.
Tiny gems.
Someone made these. They didn’t even know whether or not their work would get noticed. No fame or glory. Just a person taking the time to create a piece of art to make people smile. It’s enough to shatter a person’s cynicism.
THIS IS BEAUTIFUL… Wow… just.. Wow..I want to know David Smith’s story from start to finish about the conception and design of his magnificent work of art that became the Born and Raised album cover. I’m sure JM had lots of involvement in the design…I need to know it all.
Thanks to Paulina for sharing this link with some information from David Smith.
